Where the Painted Buffalo Roam

This summer, painted buffalo will roam the streets of West Yellowstone again, giving visitors opportunities to see western and wildlife art painted on the side of buffalo. Or, buffalo sculptures I should say.
This project was an effort by Yellowstone Economic Development Council to encourage visitors to the area to explore West Yellowstone. Trail maps are given out to visitors at participating locations and there are incentives to see all the buffalo.
Last summer 26 painted buffalo roamed West Yellowstone, but 10 more are expected to emerge this Spring! Check out this site for more info. Now is a great time to start planning a vacation to the area, including West Yellowstone!
